Pharmacy Practice Guidance
In the interest of the safety of patients and the public, the PSI issues guidance to
facilitate compliance with pharmacy and medicines legislation, as well as best practice in relation to the supply of medicines and the operation of a pharmacy. All pharmacists and pharmacies are required to comply with the guidance issued by the PSI.
The guidance is divided into four sections:

PSI guidance has been provided to all pharmacies in a Pharmacy Practice Guidance folder to facilitate the use of the guidance in daily practice by the whole pharmacy team. This folder is sent to new pharmacy openings. Pharmacists are expected to ensure that the folder remains up to date. A full up to date list of guidance can be found in the drop down links above.
PSI Newsletter
The PSI newsletter provides information on new PSI guidance, current PSI consultations, learnings from complaints and inquiries, practice updates and advice to improve pharmacy practice. The newsletter is automatically issued to registrants by email and others may sign-up to be added to the mailing list.
