PSI Data

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI), the pharmacy regulator, is tasked with protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of patients, and the public, by regulating pharmacists and pharmacies in Ireland. Read more about the PSI’s role and functions.

Each month the PSI publishes the following open datasets in CSV and PDF format. These are made available on the PSI website and through data.gov.ie, so that the data is available and easily accessible online for reuse and redistribution.

Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical Assistants

  • Gender profile of registered pharmacists and pharmaceutical assistants.
  • Age profile of registered pharmacists and pharmaceutical assistants.

Pharmacies

  • Number of community and hospital pharmacies.
  • Number of community pharmacies, by county, and Dublin postcode.
  • Number of new pharmacy openings.
  • Number of pharmacies registered, per year, from 2009.
