State Boards recruitment process opens to appoint non-pharmacist PSI Council members

March 31, 2017

The Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD, invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced persons interested in being appointed to fill non-pharmacist vacancies arising in 2017 and 2018 on the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI), following the end of terms of office of current Council members.

For details and application see the State Boards website (the Public Appointments Service).

Closing date for applications is 2 May 2017.

The PSI is governed by a 21-member Council, which is intended to provide for a range of knowledge, experience and backgrounds so that the PSI can carry out its duty to ensure the health and safety of the public as the pharmacy regulator. Members are appointed by the Minister for Health according to the requirements for the Council that are specified in the Pharmacy Act 2007.
