PSI Pharmacist Workforce Survey 2022

We have launched a significant workforce survey. It provides the opportunity for registered pharmacists and final year pharmacy students to share their experiences and their views in relation to the pharmacist workforce in Ireland.

This is the first workforce survey of this kind for pharmacy in Ireland. It is being conducted as part of the PSI's strategic project which aims to assess emerging risks to the future pharmacy workforce within community and hospital pharmacy in Ireland. Robust pharmacist workforce data for Ireland is needed in order to better determine the current pharmacy landscape, assess and support future health system needs and understand current and future sectoral challenges. It is intended to repeat the survey annually to track workforce trends.

The survey has been sent directly by email to target recipients from the PSI Register of Pharmacists and 5th year pharmacy students. It will remain open for responses until 18 December 2022 and all PSI-registered pharmacists, regardless of area of work, are encouraged to take some time to respond.
