Declaration of results for 2017 election for appointment to PSI Council

In accordance with PSI (Council) Rules 2008 and 2015, the Returning Officer Niall Byrne, PSI Registrar, has declared the following five pharmacists as elected for the purposes of Section 10(3)(f) of the Pharmacy Act 2007, for appointment by the Minister for Health to the PSI Council:

Nicola Cantwell
Michael Lyons
Marie Louisa Power
Sean Reilly
Veronica Treacy

In accordance with Rule 13(2) of the above Rules, the full election results, including details of the number of ballot papers issued (total electorate), the total valid poll and the votes and transfers at each count are hereby published on this website.

The Returning Officer shall now give notice in writing to the Minister for Health of the names of the pharmacists that have been selected, for the purposes of Section 10(3)(f) of the Pharmacy Act 2007, for appointment to the PSI Council.

In accordance with Rule 14, the list of persons to be included in a panel for the filling of certain vacancies on Council is as follows, in decreasing order of the total number of votes cast for each candidate:

Rose Caroline McGrath
Canice Nicholas

The counting of votes in the 2017 election of pharmacists for appointment to the PSI Council for five vacancies took place on Thursday 20th April 2017 at PSI House, Fenian Street, Dublin 2.
