March 31, 2022

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill three non-pharmacist vacancies arising on the PSI Council this summer. In particular, applicants must demonstrate appropriate senior-level experience/skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • Healthcare regulation and/or regulation of social care services
  • Digital transformation, change management, innovation and organisation development
  • Financial management

For full details and application process see the State Boards website (the Public Appointments Service). Closing date for applications is 3pm on Tuesday, 19 April 2022.

The PSI is governed by a 21-member Council, which is intended to provide for a range of knowledge, experience and backgrounds so that the PSI can carry out its duty to ensure the health and safety of the public as the pharmacy regulator. All members are appointed by the Minister for Health to act in the public interest and according to the requirements for the Council that are set out in the Pharmacy Act 2007.
