Call for Expressions of Interest from community pharmacists and their teams to participate in an in-pharmacy photoshoot for the PSI

The PSI is seeking community pharmacists and members of their team to participate in an in-pharmacy photoshoot at a suitable date and time in May 2024.
What is the purpose of the PSI photoshoot?
To create modern photography representative of current pharmacy practice in Ireland for use across all PSI communications channels including the PSI’s new website (launching July 2024) and other channels including our PSI newsletter, PR, social media and a range of PSI publications such as the PSI Annual Reports and the next Corporate Strategy.
What are the objectives of the PSI photoshoot?

To have modern visuals that are representative of community pharmacy in Ireland
- Engaging photography that conveys the work of the pharmacy profession
- Inclusive imagery highlighting diversity in the profession
- Photography that places the patient/public at the core, where possible
- Photography that will earn respect from peers that portrays pharmacy in a progressive, trusted and professional health-care setting
- Photography showing different settings e.g. city vs rural; varying ownership types
- Photography that demonstrates the range of professional services provided by pharmacists and their teams
To note: there will be no photographs of any members of the public taken as part of this initiative.
We are committed to having a diverse cross-section of pharmacists and staff participate in this photoshoot who are representative of community pharmacy in Ireland and who come from a variety of roles and backgrounds, with varying years of experience.
When will the photoshoot be held?
The Communications team at the PSI will collaborate with you to confirm a suitable date and time. This will preferably be during May 2024.
Who will take the photographs?
A professional photographer will be present with the support of members of the PSI’s Communications team.
How do I express my interest?
To express your interest, please email communications@psi.ie by Tuesday, 30 April at 5pm by confirming the name and location of your pharmacy practice and any staff members that are also willing to participate. A €100 gift card will be awarded to each participating pharmacy as a thank you.

Do I need to provide written consent?
Consent forms will be shared to participants to sign ahead of the photoshoot, outlining exactly why the images are being taken and providing the opportunity for participants to formally consent to the PSI’s copyright and usage of images for marketing and communications purposes.
