Keeping you informed: a new look PSI Newsletter

February 16, 2016

New PSI Newsletter In late 2015, we asked all of our stakeholders to provide their feedback to a survey on the PSI website and newsletter. We wanted to understand how the information we provide can best align with the needs of our users.

We received 245 responses to the survey, and of those 77% of respondents rated the newsletter overall as either very good or good, and in general found the main content topics useful, particularly updates on practice guidance and medicines, and the learnings prepared by the PSI arising from complaints and disciplinary inquiries. Areas identified for improvement were clarity of language, mobile compatibility, content presentation,  and suggestions for additional article topics.

We have considered this feedback in the development of our ‘new look’ PSI newsletter, which has its first issue this February 2016. We hope that you will continue to find the newsletter a useful resource, whether you are working in pharmacy, or have a general interest in public health, safety and pharmacy regulation in Ireland.

In relation to the website, 65% of respondents rated it overall as very good or good. Areas identified for improvement were more user-friendly navigation, improved search functionality, more dynamic layout and content, clarity of language and mobile device compatibility. We will consider this feedback in the coming months as we also work to improve and re-design our website this year.

We are committed to providing effective and accessible information to all who engage with us and are very appreciative of the useful feedback received. We will continue to evolve our communications so that we take on board the suggested improvements.

Our communications team welcomes any feedback you may have on our ‘new look’ newsletter or further suggested improvements for our website in the months ahead.

With best wishes,

Damhnait Gaughan
Acting Registrar/CEO
